Low molecular weight polyisobutylene (LMWPIB) is a type of polyisobutylene. It has low viscosity and is therefore used in high-temperature applications. LMWPIB can be used as an alternative to high molecular weight polyurethane (HMWPU) in various applications such as automotive, furniture, construction and electronics owing to its better mechanical properties at room temperature along with higher flexibility.


Medium Molecular Weight Polyisobutylene:


Medium molecular weight polyisobutylene (MMWPIB) is a type of polyisobutylene. It has similar properties to low-molecular-weight polyisobutylene, but with more stability towards oxidation and higher glass transition temperature. MMWPIB is commercially available in two grades: standard and premium.
