High Concentration:
High concentration is a technique used to increase the sulfuric acid production yield by concentrating the catalyst. It works on the principle of increasing the contact between feedstock and catalyst, which results in increased reaction rate. The process can be carried out in two ways; thermal or chemical. In thermal process, sulfur is converted into gaseous form along with water and other impurities that are removed through flue gas desulfurization (FGD) system or wet scrubber system.
Low Concentration:
Low concentration sulfuric acid is a solution of sulfuric acid with the content of hydrogen and few drops of water. It is used as an industrial solvent for removing oil from gasoline, in petroleum refining, and in other chemical industries. The major applications include petroleum refining & petrochemicals, mining & metal processing industries.
