Spur Gear:


Spur gear is a special type of gear teeth that are set at an angle of less than 90 degrees to the axis of rotation. The primary function of spur gear is to allow ratio changing as the input speed changes. It has few other uses also such as it can be used in place of involute gears for making spur drives, and it can be used with straight or helical splines for making spur drives also.
