One-step Method:


One-step method is a process in which the desired product can be synthesized without any intermediate purification stage. One-step methods are widely used to produce chemicals such as acetone, acetic acid, and other carboxylic acids.


Two-steps Method:


The two-steps method is used to convert aniline into Isophoronediamine (IPD). The process involves the oxidation of aniline with air or oxygen and then hydrogenation of the resulting free radical species. This method provides a cost-effective and convenient way for manufacturing IPD, which has resulted in its extensive use. However, this process may result in lower yields as compared to other methods due to incomplete oxidation and/or hydrogenation of the starting material.
