Cosmetic grade isopropyl palmitate (IPP) is a colorless and odorless liquid that has an almond-like odor. It is used in personal care products such as skin lotions, creams, perfumes, and makeup products. IPP acts as an emollient which helps the skin to retain moisture by preventing water loss through perspiration or evaporation.
Application Insights:
Isopropyl palmitate is used in the manufacture of a wide range of products including paints, inks, rubber-based materials and plastics.
