Portable Type:
Portable type is a system that can be used in laboratories for measuring the content of salts, acids or other electrolytes. It's major applications are in hospitals and clinical settings where there is no permanent installation. In such cases, portable type salt/acid meters can be used to measure the chemical contents of blood or urine samples taken from patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), cancer etc., which would help in diagnosing the disease condition.
Benchtop Type:
The benchtop type is a device used for measuring the concentration of salts in water or other solutions. It consists of two glass bulbs connected by a flexible hose. The solution to be measured is placed between the bulbs and as soon as it comes in contact with one of the electrodes, a voltage appears across it which is recorded by an electronic meter mounted on the baseboard.
It’s major applications are found in laboratories where accuracy.
