Product Definition:


Lightning Protection Technologies (LPT) is a collective term for devices and systems that protect a structure from the potentially devastating effects of a lightning strike. LPT includes such measures as installing lightning rods or air terminals, using wire mesh to enclose a structure, and grounding the structure. The importance of Lightning Protection Technologies cannot be overstated; if a building or other structure is not properly protected, it can be severely damaged or destroyed by even a single lightning strike.


Lead Thunder System:


The lead thunnder system is a cost-effective and easy to install solution for preventing damage caused by lightning. It consists of two parts: an electronic device that generates an electromagnetic field around the antenna, and a specially designed antenna that receive signals from the distant thunderstorm cells. The electrical signal received by the antenna is converted into harmless electric current through transformer core, which makes it suitable for residential as well as commercial applications such as hotels, hospitals or offices.


Radioactive Air Terminals:


Radioactive air terminals are small, hollow capsules filled with radioactive material. They are deployed in areas that need to be cleared of electrical charges after a lightning strike. As the name suggests, these capsules contain radioactive material which decays slowly over a period of time providing an electric field inside it which attracts and collects charge from the surrounding atmosphere.


Application Insights:


The other application segment includes military, defense and aerospace applications. The commercial buildings segment is expected to witness the fastest growth over the forecast period owing to increasing number of power outages across the globe. Outages lead to monetary losses due to loss of business productivity.
