Continuous Wave Magnetron (CWM) is a type of magnetron which produces short-wavelength radiofrequency (RF) waves. It operates at low power and has wide range of applications in communication, radar, satellite communications, etc. CWM works on the principle of electron beam oscillation by using magnetic field produced by electric current passed through the gas or liquid.


The continuous wave form can be obtained with an ordinary antenna.
