Product Definition:


A malachite green test kit is used to test the presence of malachite green in a sample. Malachite green is a dye that is often used in fish farming and can be toxic to fish. The test kit can be used to determine if there are any levels of malachite green in the water that could potentially harm the fish.


Liquid:


Liquid is a solution of copper (II) chloride hexahydrate. It is usually prepared by the chlorination of a solution of 1% copper (I) chloride in 99% carbon dioxide. Liquid test kit works on the basis that when it comes in contact with water, it changes its color and appearance which signifies that there has been some reaction between liquid and water.


Power:


Power is the rate at which a biological material reacts with a catalyst. The chemical reaction can be aerobic or anaerobic. In an aerobic test, there is air present around the sample and in anaerobic test, there is no air present around the sample. Malachite green tests are conducted by measuring power using two different methods namely; direct measurement and Indirect Measurement of Power (IMP).
