Product Definition:


A mass flow regulator (MFR) is a device used to control the mass flow rate of a fluid flowing through a system. The main purpose of an MFR is to maintain a constant mass flow rate regardless of the upstream or downstream pressure variations. Direct Type:


Direct type flow meters are used to measure the mass or volume of fluid. They have a simple structure and work on the principle of Archimedes’s law, which states that any object submerged under water will rise to the level of water surface above it. These meters can be used for measuring liquids as well as gases. Direct type flow meter is an ideal instrument for industrial applications where accuracy is not so much important and only basic flow rate measurement is required.


Indirect Type:


Indirect type is a flow measuring device that indirectly measures the mass or volume of fluid. It works on the principle of Archimedes’ law which states that, “any object in motion continues to generate momentum until some external force is applied to it”. In other words, an indirect type instrument does not measure the mass or volume directly but rather measures the rate at which a substance is moving through a container by observing its displacement and/or level.
