Mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicles are armored combat vehicles used by the U.S. military and others to provide protection against mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The first MRAP vehicles were deployed in 2007, and over 26,000 have been produced for the U.S. military alone.

MRAP-MRUV is a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle (MRAP) program that was initiated by the U.S. government in 2006 to provide increased protection to soldiers from improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and anti-tank mines during military operations.


MRAP-JERRV:


MRAP-JERRV is a joint venture between the U.S. Army and Navistar, Inc., which produces both heavy trucks and light commercial vehicles for the military market under the brand name “Cadillac”. The Cadillacs are built to offer enhanced protection against IEDs, ambushes, anti-tank mines, and road side bombs at a reasonable cost with increased fuel efficiency as compared to other trucks in its class.
