Nemacide is a pesticide that is effective against nematodes.


Nemacide is a fumigant used for the preservation of grain and other food products. It is an aromatic compound which has low molecular weight and high boiling point. Nemacide finds its application in preservatives, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and rodenticide among others. The primary function of nematocide or nematicides is to protect crops from parasitic diseases by restricting their growth; it also helps in controlling some weed activities but does not kill them completely.


Organophosphates are a group of compounds that contain phosphorus and at least one oxygen atom. Organophosphates can be classified as inorganic or organic. Inorganic organophosphates include phosphoric acid, orthophosphoric acid, hydrolyzed phosphoric acid, and other related compounds such as pyrophoric salts and amino acids.
