Organophosphate insecticides are a class of insecticides that share a common chemical structure. They are effective against a wide range of pests, including insects, spiders, mites, and ticks. Parathion, also known as O-Phosphonoethyl phosphonate or P-Ethanol is an organophosphate insecticide. It is a colorless and highly water soluble liquid with a strong odor. Parathion is used to control the population of insects in various crops including cotton, rice, wheat, maize and vegetables like tomato & pepper.

Methyl Parathion:

Methyl parathion is an organophosphate insecticide. It was first registered by Bayer in 1965 and is now one of the most commonly used pesticides in the world. The product gained popularity owing to its high efficiency as an insecticide, which has led to a huge demand from farmers across the globe for crop protection purposes.

The product works by inhibiting cholinesterase, an enzyme that breaks down nerve signals between nerves.
