An oxidizer is an element that gains oxidation state +2 when it is exposed to air. The most common ones are oxygen, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), and ozone. Ozone has the highest Oxidizing agent potential of 28; it will split water into two ions (hydrogen and oxygen). Hydrogen peroxide can be made from natural or artificial sources; its main source being industrial processes such as petroleum refining, chemical synthesis, etc.
Reducer:
The function of a reducer is to reduce the volume of an oxide or a reduction product formed during the combustion process. The most common example of such products are hydrogen and carbon monoxide. A reducer can be either mechanical, involving intermedia or media, or chemical involving different types of catalyst materials. In case where there is no need for additional oxygen in the combustion process then stoichiometric oxidizers can be used as they provide their own oxygen source (O2).
