Product Definition:
PC/ASA Resin is a thermoset resin which can be used for injection molding and blow molding. It has good impact resistance, stiffness, and dimensional stability.
General Grade:
General grade is a term used for ASA or PC resin that has not been pre-dispersed. It usually contains around 80% solids and 20% liquid, by weight. The resin is supplied in the form of an orange/red solid mass which upon examination appears to be a collection of small pieces of polyester fiber.
The general grade resins are widely used in injection molding.
High Heat Grade:
High heat grade is a term used in the polycarbonate resin market to define products that are processed at higher temperatures (above 300°C) and have better flow characteristics as compared to standard-grade PC/ASA resins. The demand for these grades is expected to grow on account of their suitability for manufacturing automotive components such as instrument panels, interior door panels, dashboard trims and other electrical components.
