Industrial grade is used as a raw material for the production of phosphotungstic acid. Phosphotungstic acid is used in various applications such as ink and paint industry, rubber processing industry, leather finishing industry and printing inks & paper industries.


Reagent Grade:


Phosphotungstic acid, also known as PTA or just tungsten trioxide, is a chemical compound of the heavier element tungsten with the formula WO 3. It is a white solid and has no odor. The molecular form of phosphotungstic acid consists of three molecules WO 3 which are connected by two oxygen anions (PO 4) and one tungsten cation (W3+).

Phosphotungstic acid is used as a catalyst in organic reactions such as Diels-Alder reaction, which involves the construction of carbon-carbon bonds. It is also used for catalyzing other types of reactions such as cross coupling between enones and alkenes or between alkene and alkyne reactants to form multi bonded compounds.
