Spun type is a high-performance carbon fiber that has been processed to remove the majority of its structural fibers. It is formed by spinning raw or semi-finished carbon fibers in a heated oven. The process creates aligned, parallel filaments with an average length of 1/10th inch and an extremely narrow cross-sectional area, which are then gathered into bundles and wound onto form rods or sheets.
Filament Type:
Polyacrylonitrile-based carbon fibers are made from short, strong, and flexible polymers. They have high thermal stability and tensile strength due to which they are used in various applications including automotive parts, aerospace components, sports equipment manufacturing & repair materials.
