Product Definition:
A polyamide (PA) is a polymer consisting of amide subunits. PA 11 is composed of 11-12% carbon, 47-50% hydrogen, and 30-33% nitrogen. It has a melting point of 280°C and can be injection molded to form parts with very good surface finish. Parts made from PA 11 are strong, rigid, and resistant to wear and chemicals.

Bio-based Polyamide 11 (PA 11) is a form of polyamide, which is derived from bio-based sources. It has excellent properties such as high chemical resistance, heat stability and good processability. PA 11 can be processed via injection molding, extrusion and blow molding techniques.
Petroleum-based PA 11:
Petroleum-based PA 11 is a copolymer of propylene and ethylene, which is manufactured by the catalytic polymerization of ethylene and partial hydrolysis of propylene. It has similar properties as compared to synthetic polyamide 11 (PA 11), such as high strength, wear resistance, abrasion resistance, thermal stability up to 100°C (ultra-high temperature), electrical insulation up to 600V (medium voltage) and chemical & solvent resistance.
