It has eight carbon atoms and is therefore called octene. The chemical formula for non-plasticized PVC is (C8H10)2V2 or Cis (CH3)3COPh which stands for chlorinated ethylene propylene compound.
Plasticised PVC:
Plasticised PVC is a thermoplastic elastomer that contains plastic polymers and is used as an alternative to thermoset rubbers in PVC compound products. It offers various advantages over traditional materials such as high flexibility, low friction, chemical resistance and improved impact properties.
