Product Definition:
A quartz oscillator is an electronic component that uses the mechanical resonance of a quartz crystal to create an electrical signal with a very precise frequency. TCXO:
TCXOs (Temperature Compensated X-Oscillators) are electronic devices used to generate regular and periodic temperature-compensated x-oscillations. TCXOs can be used as a source of heat for thermoelectric coolers, heat pumps or refrigeration systems. They are also widely utilized in freezers and food processing plants where they provide an efficient means of cooling or heating the plant’s environment without using any fuel sources other than electricity itself.
VCXO:
VCXO is very similar to RF oscillator, the main difference being that VCXO does not have an external antenna. It generates a pure sine waveform with no noise and has excellent frequency stability. In addition, it also eliminates the need for a crystal in most applications since VCXOs are manufactured using highly stable materials such as ceramic or silicon carbide.
