Gear pump is a mechanical device which helps in transferring liquid from one place to another with greater efficiency. It consists of interlocking gears, usually having more than 100 teeth, that mesh when turned clockwise and counter-clockwise under the influence of centrifugal force. The liquid being pumped is forced through the series of interlocked gears by atmospheric pressure or gravity acting on it.
Screw Pump:
Screw pumps are used to move liquid in a reciprocating motion. It is one of the most common types of reciprocating pump and it’s main application is to transfer liquids from one place to another with greater efficiency. The working principle of screw pump is based on suction and discharge head, which creates a vacuum between two cups and then this vacuum acts as an energy source for the movement of liquid through pipeline.
