High Frequency:


High frequency sound waves are used to detect the presence of microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses in sea food. Metal detectors use high-frequency sound waves for detecting metallic objects such as rings, watches, chains or bracelets. The detection process is based on the principle of elastic rebound which means that a metal object reflects back some part of the high frequency sound wave thus enabling its detection.
