A secondary battery is a type of rechargeable battery. Secondary batteries are distinct from primary batteries, which are not rechargeable.

The most common method to obtain lead-acid is by smelting of used batteries; hence it's also called as battery recycling or scrap lead.


Lithium-ion:


Lithium-ion (Li-ion) is a type of rechargeable battery which is extensively used in portable electronic devices such as mobile phones, digital cameras, and laptops. It also finds application in electric vehicles and other industrial applications. The growing demand for these products has led to an increase in the consumption of raw materials such as lithium (Li), cobalt (Co), manganese (Mn) and nickel (Ni).
