Single input J-type thermometers are used to measure temperature across a wide range of industries such as automotive, semiconductor manufacturing, and chemical processing. The measurement is carried out by using the heat generated by an infrared source that is located in the probe.
The heat generated can be either from an electrically-heated filament or a laser source.
