Additionally, backsheets can improve module performance by reflecting sunlight and reducing heat build-up.
Fluoropolymer:
Fluoropolymer is a special type of polymeric material that contains carbon and fluorine molecules. Fluoropolymers are extensively used in the production of solar PV backsheets owing to their excellent properties such as high thermal stability, low moisture absorption, high tensile strength and abrasion resistance along with superior weathering resistance.
Non-Fluoropolymer:
Non-fluoropolymer is the general term used for all types of polymers, other than fluoropolymers. The most commonly used non-fluoropolymer in solar PV backsheets are PTFE (Teflon), Nylon, Polyester and PVC.
