A stereo microscope is a type of compound microscope that provides a three-dimensional view of the specimen being examined. This type of microscope uses two eyepieces to create the 3D image and usually has an adjustable magnification range from about 10x to 30x.


Monocular, also known as single lens microscope is a device that helps in improving the clarity of images captured by the eyepiece. It works on the principle of refraction, where one lens is used to capture image and other to display it on screen. Binocular is a device used for viewing objects that are far away. It helps in enhancing the image quality by providing enhanced depth and clarity. Binocular microscope uses two lenses to provide an enhanced image of the object. The magnification can be adjusted using a knob present at the bottom of binoculars, which allows users to view things clearly from 10-50 times closer than their actual size.
