Closed back headphones and headsets refer to a type of headphone or headset that has a backplate or cover made from solid wood, metal, plastic or any combination of the above materials which completely encloses the audio driver and all other electronic components. The advantage of closed backed headphones is that they provide better isolation (blocking out external sounds) so that listening to music, videos etc. does not affect the quality of calls and vice versa.


Semi-open Back:


Semi-open back is a type of back cover that does not completely close and instead has a small opening at the rear. The design allows for better ventilation and sound isolation, however, it also allows for some sound to leak out.
