Product Definition:
A subsea manifold is a pipeline junction that allows two or more pipelines to merge into a single line. The manifold can be located on the seabed, on a platform or vessel, or at the landfall. It is an important piece of infrastructure for the transportation of oil and gas from offshore production facilities to onshore processing plants and terminals.
Template Manifold:
A typical example of a manifold is shown in figure 1. It consists of a number of tubes or pipes which are connected by valves and joints. The purpose is to provide fluid communication between the input and output without having to drill through the rock formation.
The type of manifold used depends on factors such as application, Rock Type (Shale, Carbonate), Well Type (Horizontal, Vertical) and downhole Wellbore Geometry (Round Borehole).
Cluster Manifold:
Cluster manifold is a device used to control and monitor subsea manifolds. It helps in monitoring the flow of fluids from one point to another with more accuracy. The cluster manifold can be used for multiple applications such as production, injection, and flowback management among others.
Application Insights:
The production manifold segment dominated the global subsea manifolds market in terms of revenue share in 2017. The growth can be attributed to increasing demand for oil & gas from emerging economies such as China, India and Brazil.
