Aniline is an organic compound and a primary constituent of tire rubber. It is also used in the production of other chemicals such as dimethyl aniline, diethyl aniline, triethylene diamine (TED), diphenolic acid (DPA) and phenol.


Bio-Based Aniline:


Aniline is an organic compound and it's also a chemical element. It has a triple bond between the carbon & nitrogen along with the presence of hydrogen. The product is colorless, water-soluble, highly flammable and very toxic in nature. Bio-based aniline can be manufactured from vegetable oils such as castor oil or soybean oil by using fermentation process which makes bio-based aniline cost effective compared to petroleum based one.


Application Insights:


Building and construction was the largest application segment in 2016, accounting for over 50% of global consumption. The growth can be attributed to increasing demand from various sectors such as automotive, electrical and electronics, pharmaceuticals among others.
