TBzTD (10591-85-2) is a Benzotriazole derivative used as an antioxidant and corrosion inhibitor.


TBzTD-70:


TBzTD-70 is a novel, 70% (w/w) solution of 1,4 butanediol in water. It has been developed as an alternative to TBzT for the treatment of relapsing-remitting and secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. TBzTD is expected to enter the market at a later stage than TBzT due to its higher price and complex manufacturing process.


TBzTD-75:


TBzTD-75 is a novel, non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor. TBzTD has been found to have greater potency than DDI (diflucan drug combination) in vitro and in vivo. It also displays better pharmacokinetic properties as compared to other drugs currently used for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and TB.


The drug was developed by Cipla Inc., an Indian pharmaceutical company, which patented the compound in 2015.

It is used as a processing aid in rubber vulcanization, which involves the addition of the chemical compound to liquid rubber. The resulting mixture is then used as a processing aid during tire production.
