Thiourea dioxide is a white crystalline powder that is soluble in water. It is used as an oxidizing agent and a bleaching agent.
Ordinary Grade:
Ordinary grade thiourea dioxide is a colorless and highly soluble inorganic compound. It's produced by the reaction of sulfuric acid with olefins such as ethylene, propylene or butenes. The product finds application in various industries including pharmaceuticals, chemicals & oil field services and water treatment among others.
High Purity Grade:
High purity grade is the highest quality standard and it has 99.8% of thiourea dioxide content. It is used in producing super-high purity (SHP) grade thiourea dioxide which has even better properties than high purity grade.
Application Insights:
Paper & pulp was the leading application segment in 2016 and accounted for a market share of more than 70%. The product is used as an antioxidant and preservative in the paper industry. It also finds applications as a thickening agent, emulsifier, wetting agent, dispersant and foaming agent.
