TR (Transmit/Receive) Module is a key component in radar systems. It is used to transmit and receive signals between the radar system and the target. The TR module is responsible for converting electrical signals into radio frequency (RF) energy, and vice versa. Centimeter wave (CMW) is a radio frequency band that is between 10 GHz to 100 GHz. The term “centimeter” refers to the length of one-millimeter, which is the SI base unit for length. A CMW signal has a bandwidth of 1GHz and a duration of 3 seconds or so. It usually operates in the range from 10 cm to 30 cm but can be operated up to 100 cm if required.
