Waterproof RTD thermometers are important because they can be used in difficult or dangerous environments where other types of thermometers would not be able to survive. Single Input:


Single input waterproof RTD thermometers are used for measuring temperature of liquid or fluid-based media. These thermometers have one temperature sensor and one or more output terminals. The single input type is majorly used in water & wastewater treatment plants, petrochemical refineries, desalination plants and other process industries where there is need to measure temperature of fluidized solids such as sludge.


Dual Input:


Dual input is a technology used in waterproof RTD thermometers that allows two temperature inputs, one for the ambient air and another for the water or liquid. The dual input technology helps to get an accurate measurement of temperature as it provides two independent measurements at the same time.


The first type of dual input waterproof RTD thermometer was launched by Honeywell in 2008 and since then many other companies have followed suit.
