Zener diodes are specially designed diodes that allow a precise amount of current to flow through them when they are reverse biased. This allows them to be used as voltage regulators, which is why they are often called Zener voltage regulators. Through Hole Technology:

Through hole technology is a process of manufacturing semiconductors in which the wafers are placed between two metal plates, and then an electric current is passed through the material to be processed. The materials used for this purpose include silicon, germanium, aluminum and other metals.
