Beta-cypermethrin is a pesticide and insecticide. It is an organophosphate compound with the formula C3H5(CO2). The white crystalline powder has a strong odor of garlic and tastes slightly sweet. Beta-cypermethrin was first registered by Dow Chemical Co in 1941 under the brand name Nocita.
