Product Definition:
Cellulose acetate propionate is a type of cellulose ether. It is made by reacting cellulose with acetic anhydride and propionic anhydride. Cellulose acetate propionate has many uses, including as a plasticizer, a film former, and an adhesive. It is also used in food packaging and in the production of pharmaceuticals.
High Plasticizer CAP:
High plasticizer CAP is a modified cellulose that has been processed to contain higher levels of the chemical called caprolactam. The process of modifying the cellulose by increasing its lactam content gives it an enhanced ability to be converted into fibers and a greater strength compared to regular cellulose. It also enhances other properties such as surface activity, heat stability, water repellency and oil absorption.
Low Plasticizer CAP:
Plasticizer CAP is a low-cost and environment-friendly plasticizer used in cellulose acetate propionate (CAP) production. It is also used as an intermediate for polycarbonates, epoxy resins, unsaturated polyester resins, and acrylics. The product has the ability to enhance the physical properties of plastics such as flexibility modulus at low temperatures along with high impact resistance at elevated temperatures.
