A fluidized bed jet mill is a device that uses jets of air to create a "fluidized" bed of material. This device can be used to grind materials into very fine powders.


Vertical Type:


Vertical type is a device used in fluidized bed jet mill for the separation of solid from liquid. It is also known as vertical sieve or tier. Tier consists of perforated metal plates, which are usually arranged in an array and suspended over the jet by means of chains or rods.


Horizontal Type:


Horizontal type is a device that is used to separate the solid from the liquid in fluidized bed jet mills. It works by creating a high velocity stream which helps in flinging the particles towards one side of the chamber and collecting them on other side. Horizontal type has two chambers, one connected by an airtight seal which contains media, and other with screen or mesh attached to it where solid particles are collected.

The application of fluidized bed jet mills in the chemical industry enables continuous production with high efficiency and energy conservation.
