Product Definition:
Halloysite nanotubes are hollow tubes of alumina (Al2O3) that can be as small as a few nanometers in diameter and up to several micrometers in length. They are generally found in nature as bundles of straight tubes, but can also form clumps, ropes, or sheets.
300 Mesh:
300 mesh is the highest grade of Halloysite nanotubes. It has a uniform pore size of about 20-50 nm and hence is used in high-performance applications such as fuel cells, batteries, sensors and solar cells. 300 mesh Halloysite nanotubes have better electrical properties than 200 & 400 mesh variants owing to their smaller pore size which results in higher conductivity & permeability along with lower density.
600 Mesh:
600 mesh is the highest grade of Halloysite used in manufacturing nanotubes. It has a mean free path of 5 to 6 nm and hence are called narrowest gauge or NAG (narrowest AG) among other products also having similar dimensions. 600 mesh Halloysite nanotubes have applications in biomedical, catalysis, electronics & optoelectronics industries owing to their unique mechanical properties and small size.
