Pre-hydrorefining Catalyst:


Pre-hydrorefining catalysts are used in hydrorefining process to remove contaminants from the feedstock. The catalyst is primarily used for removing moisture and other impurities present in the feedstock. Pre-hydro refining catalysts are also known as hydrophobic catalysis or water-repellent catalysis (WRC).

A hydrorefining catalyst is a type of refining agent that promotes the desired chemical and physical reactions during the purification process. Hydrorefining catalysts are used in petroleum refining to improve the quality of crude oil into refined products such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene, etc. The most common hydrorefining catalysts include sulfuric acid/methanol catalyst and zinc dust/copper (ZD) catalyst combination.
