AC Motor:
An AC motor is a type of electric motor which operates on the principle of electromagnetic attraction and repulsion between two sets of windings located within the magnetic field. The rotor which carries out the rotation is called as armature and the stator which provides electrical power to rotors is called as a field magnet. As current flows through one set of windings it creates a magnetic field while current flowing in other set creates an electro-magnetic repulsion, thus making them repellent.
