2mil:


2MIL is the thickness of photochromic films. It can be used for both, organic and inorganic pigments depending on the application. The 2MIL product line includes products with a thickness between 0.3 and 3 Mils (70 to 80 micron).


3mil:


3M is the largest manufacturer of photochromic films. They are a key ingredient in manufacturing organic photochromic films. The 3M Company offers products under three main brands, namely, Iridocare, 3M Science Cavilon and Opti-Chrome. Opti-Chrome is the brand used for producing organic photochromic film which can be applied to glass as well as plastic substrates and can also be printed on fabrics and apparel with special inkjet technology.
