It has 99% purity and was initially developed as an intermediate for the production of bromotoluene (one of the major components in styrene-butadiene rubber). Putity99%, produced by Mitsubishi Chemical Corp., Japan, is used as a key raw material for producing Pentabromotoluene (PBT) by Evonik Industries AG.


Putiry 98%:


It is a chemical intermediate used in the production of Pentabromotoluene (PBT). PBT is an organic liquid that is pale yellow in color. It has a strong odor similar to bromine. PBT can be produced by different methods such as the chlorination of benzene and oxidation of bromobenzene.
