Solid polybutadiene rubber is a polymer, which contains high amount of hydrogen and carbon. It has similar properties like natural latex. Solid polybutadiene rubber can be used as an alternative to natural latex in the tire industry on account of its superior physical properties such as abrasion resistance, tensile strength and resilience, heat aging stability and processability.
Liquid Polybutadiene Rubber:
Liquid polybutadiene rubber is a polymer, which contains on the average about 80% of butadiene. It is produced by the catalytic polymerization of Butadien-based monomers in presence of catalyst materials such as platinum and palladium. Liquid Polybutadiene Rubber (L PBDR) has high molecular weight and low viscosity compared to its counterpart, Linear Polybutadiene Rubber (LPBDR).
