Super High Tenacity Yarn:
Super high tenacity yarn is a type of polyester fiber that has been developed to have higher breaking strength than standard polyester. The development of such yarns can be attributed to the need for manufacturing stronger fabrics for industrial applications, which include apparel and home furnishing.
The super-high tenacity (SHT) fibers are produced by spinning or drawing longer lengths of standard polyester and then bonding them together; this process is known as convergent processing.
