Surge Protective Devices:


Surge protective devices are mainly used to protect LED from voltage surges that may occur in the system due to lightning strikes, power line crashes, electrical accidents or any other reasons. The normal power supply provides +5V and +12V rails with a maximum output of 30A into the LED light. However, during lighting strike or any other reason; there may be a sudden increase in current flow that can easily melt down the internal components of an LED light resulting into failure.
