Polypropylene carbonates are a family of thermoplastic polymers that are derived from the reaction of propylene oxide and carbon dioxide. Polypropylene carbonates have a high resistance to heat and chemical attack, making them ideal for use in engineering applications.

Pellet based polymers are made from carbon and hydrogen, which are heated to very high temperatures (over 900o C) in the presence of oxygen. The process is called polymerization and it produces long-chain aliphatic hydrocarbons that have similar properties as those of short-chain aliphatic hydrocarbons.


Film based:


Film based is a type of carbonates which are produced by the thermal decomposition of organic acids. It is majorly used in Polypropylene Carbonate (PPC) production process. PPC’s properties such as high impact strength, wear resistance and toughness over other conventional polymers make it an ideal material for applications including automotive parts, engineering plastics and consumer goods.
