Superluminescent diodes (SLDs) are LEDs that emit light at a much higher intensity than standard LEDs. This makes them ideal for use in applications where high-intensity light is required, such as optical communications and spectroscopy.


830 nm Type:


The 830 nm type is a new generation of ultraviolet light source. It has higher energy than the previous sources such as 270 nm and 300-320nm. The shorter wavelength reduces the amount of exposure to the skin, which is harmful for human body. The shorter wavelength also reduces the amount of time required for complete cure with UVB treatment, which makes it more convenient for medical use (such as psoriasis).


1050 nm Type:


1050 nm type is a new generation of green light source with higher peak wavelength and lower central wavelength than conventional LED. The shorter wave-length reduces the amount of energy needed to produce the same brightness as compared to traditional LEDs, which results in less power consumption and longer lifespan.


The 1050 nm light source offers better color mixing ability as compared to other conventional sources such as 650 nm, 700nm and 800nm owing to its narrow bandwidth.
