Product Definition:
A fatty acid molecule is saturated when all of the carbon atoms are linked together by single bonds. This type of bonding is also called "saturated" because there is no space for any more hydrogen atoms. They are solid at room temperature and have a high melting point, which is why they are often used in baking and cooking. Food grade is the process of treating edible products such as meat, poultry, seafood and processed food with chemicals or heat before they are sold to consumers. Food processing includes both industrial and household applications. Industrial application involves processes such as canning, freezing, drying-out (lyophilization), concentrating (ripening) and grinding; whereas household application involves processes like pickling (preservation), curing/fermenting (protean) smoking & grilling/roasting etc.
Industriy Grade:
Industriy grade is the highest quality of vegetable shortening available in the market. It has a very high melting point and low water content which makes it ideal for use in shortenings that are used as spreads, frying fats or margarine.
It contains no artificial flavors or colors and is completely hydrogenated to give it that creamy texture.
Application Insights:
